Communications Specialist

Potter Park Zoological Society

May 2025-Present

At Potter Park Zoo, I get to combine creativity, strategy, and a love for wildlife every day. I manage our social media presence across platforms, crafting content that educates, entertains, and builds lasting connections with our audience. From animal birthdays to conservation campaigns, if it's making people smile or inspiring them to care about wildlife—chances are, I’m behind it.

In addition to social media, I produce our monthly newsletter, design graphics and signage, coordinate media appearances, and help bring the zoo to the community through outreach and public relations.

✨ Highlights:

  • Consistent growth in social media followers and engagement

  • Boosted newsletter reach and subscriber count with fresh, engaging content

  • Developed playful, pun-filled campaigns that bring attention to animal care and conservation

  • Collaborated with animal care staff to tell behind-the-scenes stories that resonate with guests

Whether it’s a red panda birthday post or a conservation call to action, I love turning everyday moments at the zoo into stories that stick.
